Mercedes-Benz is the tenth-largest car manufacturer in the world
Working with Designory, I produced a time-release direct-mail car launch experience for the next-generation E-Class, 110 years in the making.
Result: As customers experienced key moments in Mercedes-Benz's history, the timeline exposed additional content before revealing the new E-Class on launch day.
Determined to break the mold for Mercedes-Benz's interactive launch, the widescreen scrollable timeline was a bold vision, but I fought for it. The final product was a testament to the power of innovation, trust, and perseverance.
The user experience won 9 awards.
The piece was so well received that a Mouse insisted on using my timeline design for their internal Standard Character Guide. (the cartoon bible)
The Mouse said I had contextualized Mercedes-Benz's history and paid the same budget I charged to create it. 🐭 I had sold my first user interface product.
It was an important milestone in my design career, I fell in love with product design.
